Community

McGavick Graves, P.S. is proud of its commitment to the South Sound and Pierce County. McGavick Graves believes that reinvesting in our local community is the best way to ensure a better tomorrow for all of those who live and work in the South Sound.

As a result of its commitment to community service, McGavick Graves gives back to the community in a tangible way. While McGavick Graves has always been committed as a firm to supporting its community, in 2005 McGavick Graves increased its commitment to service by creating a Community Action Committee. Since 2005, through the Community Action Committee, McGavick Graves has sponsored a grant program where funds and time are committed to specific projects that benefit our area. McGavick Graves' first grant recipient was WACAP whereby WACAP was able to secure permanent families for thirteen children deemed hard-to-adopt due to their age or special needs.

In subsequent years, McGavick Graves has also sponsored the Puget Creek Restoration Project, the Emergency Food Network, and the Crystal Judson Family Center among others. Another component of McGavick Graves' program is the commitment of both attorneys and staff to devote their time to the chosen project during the work day. Over the years, this has meant picking up trash for the Puget Creek Restoration Project, working in the kitchen at the Tacoma Rescue Mission, and delivering supplies to individuals struggling with AIDS and HIV.
